Are your classes Hands-On or Demonstration?
All classes are "Hands-On." By hands-on, we mean students will be slicing, dicing, stirring, and tasting. Each student will have their own cutting board, chef knife and apron, thereby maximizing the training you will receive actually cooking, as opposed to watching someone else cook.
How do I sign-up for a class?
Under MAIN MENUon right side of home page, click on Schedule/Registration which will take you to the current class calendar. From this page, you will be able to choose which class date you would like to sign up for, and then you can begin the online sign up process. To see upcoming classes for following months(s) simply click on the arrow to the right of the month.
When is payment due?
Full payment is due at the time of registration.This is the only way you can be guaranteed a spot.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cannot attend class, call (570) 856-6525 or email info@chefalicecooking.com at least 48-HOURS BEFORE the class and you will receive a credit towards a future class or a refund. If you cancel after the 48 hour time frame or miss a class, NO REFUNDSor CREDIT will be given. If you are unable to attend class, you may send someone in your place. Chef Alice reserves the right to cancel classes. In this unforeseen event, you will be notified and provided a refund or a credit towards a future class.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express as well as checks and cash.
Will I receive a confirmation when I register for a class?
Yes. You will receive a confirmation email shortly after registering.

What to bring and what to wear to class? Bring a container or two in case there are leftovers.
Wear comfortable clothing and low heel closed-toe shoes. If you have long hair, please tie it back.
Can you explain the sample menu listed under the class description? A sample menu gives one an idea of the dishes created for that particular class topic; type of cuisine or essential technique. Menus may change based on seasonality of produce, availability of certain ingredients and what looks particularly good in the market.
Will I receive credit or any kind of certificate upon completion of a class?
The classes, although run professionally, are recreational in nature and are intended solely for the education and enjoyment of the students.
Do you offer discounts on classes?
Occasionally, special discounts may be offered. A 10% discount is extended for private group classes of six or more. Does Chef Alice Cooking conduct children's classes and parties? Yes. Children's cooking classes and parties are booked privately and a great way to celebrate your child's birthday. Reserving at least a month or two in advance is highly recommended.
