I can't thank you enough for the experience you shared with us at your knife skills class. While your instruction, attention to detail and knowledge were superb, I especially appreciated your comraderie and patience with three bumbling men in the kitchen. We truly had a blast. The food was incredible as well! We all left with excitement to put our new skills into practice. I'm sure I will be adjusting my own kitchen to become more efficient and also shopping for ingredients and cooking equipment with a more scrutinizing eye. Again, thank you very much. It was much more than a class, it was a wonderful experience!

I cannot thank you enough for the preparation time and planning you put into the menu to accommodate my new life food list. You not only gave me great hope but some great food choices and substitutions. You have a lovely kitchen and yes we did go to Bed, Bath and Beyond and purchase some items after we left your place. I am looking forward to making crepes again. I went to an event at Church today and they served pizza. I normally would have missed having some but I had yummy leftovers. I did not miss the pizza one bit. I feel great which has become my motivation to stick to it. I will certainly tell others what a great time I had as well and I am hoping our company can do a team building event in the near future.

Tonight I decided to cook a pork loin and did a vinaigrette type of sauce (roasted garlic, vinegar, olive oil, salt, sugar... prob simple in your eyes! LOL). I had looked up a quick recipe (took it as a guide rather than following it) and it called for roasting the pork. Instead though, I seared it and then finished it off in the oven. I liked the way it all came out, but Manny just said it was "delicious!" I think that's the first time I he's ever said that. He tends to say things are good, very tasty, etc. but not delicious!
I had to share because it's your teachings that got me to the point of being able to be confident enough to break off of what I looked up and just go for something based on taste. Searing the pork kept in all that yummy flavor and I kept hearing you in my head "Color equals flavor!" LOL! So thank you, thank you! Wow, a few years ago I never had even cooked a pork loin! I don't think I would have ever even bought one. I'm just smiling ear to ear thinking about him saying it was delicious!!!

Hi Alice,
My husband Stan and I so enjoyed our class this past weekend. It was the highlight of our 4 year anniversary celebration.
We learned so many useful things that we can bring back to our kitchen, such as how to cut properly with a knife, the four flavor balance: sweet, sour, salty, and hot, and how to use garnish properly-amongst many other tips and techniques.
But perhaps what made the experience the most memorable was your easy-going, happy, skilled way of teaching us. You made us feel so comfortable as you encouraged us to try new and different techniques. Our other classmates were terrific too! We loved eating our creations at the end. :)
Thanks Alice, for a 4 year celebration that we will remember very fondly- and use to create even more memories.

Just wanted to write in and let everyone know how great it was to have Chef Alice come to the restaurant, as a guest chef, and run her Thai menu. Our guests loved it!!!! Everyone I talked to was very impressed with the menu and Chef Alice and Bobs hospitality.
P.S. As a chef its always fun to work with other chefs, especially Chef Alice, shes a great teacher and I learned a lot over the weekend she spent in my kitchen.
I treated my family to a beautiful Sunday dinner which consisted of the menu we prepared in the knife-skills class. THEY LOVED EVERY BITE! I intend to give a class as a gift to my best friend, who unfortunately lives in the Catskills, NY. I miss her terribly. WE cook whenever we are together!

Tasting Thailand - Birthday Celebration
Alice, we had SUCH an amazing time!!!!! KC told us it was the very best
part of her entire trip, and we did some fun things, so that is saying a
lot! She simply adored you and really appreciated that you made it so
special for her.
We just got home last night and I am already planning my trip to find some
Asian stores, (lol!!!) so that I can try to recreate those amazing dishes
for my family.
I have some friends who are going to the Great Wolf Lodge in July.
I am going to tell them that it is worth every single penny and then some!

Kids Asian Cooking Class
Since it was a rainy day today, I took the girls to Shop Rite to pick up the things we needed to make the Potstickers, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Chocolate-Marshmallow Dip. A man at the store was very impressed that my younger daughter Kayla knew what a green onion was and picked it right out!! Megan was excited to show me the Chop and Rock cutting technique. And my husband was impressed with the fancy mountain of rice on his plate!!!

Gluten Free Cooking Class
On June 24th I attended The Wheat Free Gluten Free Cooking Class with Chef Alice. It was a great experience, I learned so much. I was provided with an organized packet to take home. This packet contained everything we covered in class, safety tips, recipes, shopping list, and a wheat free gluten product list. Everyone in the class shares, participates, cooks, and laughs. After all the food is prepared and plated we sat down and enjoyed our food. We even had food to take home and share with our family. Global Grilling June 3, 2008
This class was enlightening, educational, AND delicious. We made a fabulous flank steak using a wet rub and cooked in a grill pan (my next kitchen purchase to be sure). We also did tandoori chicken kebabs with a delicious mango-pistachio rice, and grilled veggies with goat cheese and balsamic reduction. All was fabulous. And it was all topped off with the dessert of rum grilled pineapple with a vanilla ricotta sauce.
Chef Alice's recipes are easy to follow, and she gives you all of the notes and tips in a neat packette, so you don't have to worry about taking notes. Just enjoy the experience of cooking in a professional kitchen, and then eating what you make in a gorgeous dining room. It's the perfect night out! And you will meet some of the nicest people in Chef Alice's kitchen. :)
With the grilling season upon us, I feel well armed to amaze family and friends this summer with some newly learned skills .
